What men do can also be done by a woman. This includes simple ways to make money online or offline. It's so much easier to earn extra today through simple works that are web-based and one will consider that it's not so bad to try and bring your job right at home.

Someone asked me the other day which workouts should she choose to do. She was a little confused because in my post’s I talk about weight training, kettlebells, interval training and bodyweight exercises. So I could see how she was a little confused.

My answer to her and all of you is use them all. You know the whole variety is the spice of life thing. When it comes to exercise vatiety is your best path. Now I mentioned 4 different ways to exercise above do you know the combination and workouts you could put together?

Using variety will keep you interested and focused on getting to your fitness goals. I don’t know about you but I tend to get bored easily and let’s face it exercise isn’t always the most exciting thing in your life. If you keep challenging yourself with new and different workouts you will start to look forward to them. Especially once you start seeing the rewards in the mirror.

The one small problem with using exercise variety like I do is you have to really plan ahead. Back in the old day’s of doing the basic bodybuilding splits you went to your garage or gym or wherever you worked out and were going to do the same workout as you have been doing.

I tend to go by feel sometimes just for whatever reason I might feel like doing a particular exercise or exercises so I do it.

What I want to give you here is how to incorporate a variety of exercise programs to use. You do need to plan this ahead on at least a weekly basis.

Committ to Weight training Monday and Thursday

Like I said sometimes I feel like doing something in particular so I do it.

I guess in a round about way what I’m saying is if you say to yourself I am weight training today but I really feel like doing Intervals than do Intervals that day. You are motivated to do intervals not weight train that day. Chances are if you say I have to weight train you probably won’t even make it thruogh your workout.

Then you’ll be mad at yourself for that.

Oh I forgot to mention Exercise complexes well that’s for another day.

Information and Communication Technology is the leading industrial sector that is attributed to high literacy rate, ability to communicate and high level of skills too.  These attributes are closely associated to Women professionals and thereby fitting appropriately into any Information Technology related work lives.  It has tremendous impact on their working styles, working environment and also improved   their quality in performance.

Everyday newer opportunities are created rapidly for the growing Women generations in the Information Technology related applications.  The specialized applications of Information Technology and Careers, which are emerging to provide services using these applications, are called “IT ENABLED SERVICES INDUSTRY”.

Today, one of the optimum users of Information Technology in any economy is Women.  Their dependency on technology for the work force and efficiency is highly increasing.  Technology has paved way for the growth and development in every woman’s life.  The career opportunities emerging in the Information Technology enabled service sector are broadly classified as follows:

TELECOMMUNICATIONS - For several decades, the telephone operators and receptionists were tend to be only Women.  Even now, with the discovery of pagers, mobile phones, internets, fax etc.   demand for women in such kind of services are enormously growing.   They have the ability to communicate excellently, appropriately and also timely.  Telephone exchanges have been made digital to serve the increasing population in every nook and corner resulting in efficiency and cost reduction in this sector.   5. HEALTH CARE CENTERS – Many hospitals are modernized and provide all kind of special services under one roof using the latest technologies in medical field.  Apart from doctors and surgeons, there large numbers of technical assistants working at Laboratories, scan centers, radiologists, pharmacy, researchers using electronic instruments along with their medical knowledge and acquired skills.  They seem to be successful even as dieticians and psychologists using electronic media for interacting with their customers for remedial measures.

ENTERTAINMENT - Women are also found in the entertainment sector like Media, Ad agencies, Theme parks, Movie, photo studios, fashion designers, models, animations, artists and other talent oriented areas.  The take the maximum advantage of the information technology in their work force and try to improve their performance through creativity in technology.
  8. CONSULTANCY – Presently, Women are slowly emerging into consultancy in the areas of recruitment, selection, family oriented, legal, technical and sales & advertising.  With minimum knowledge and higher skill with usage of information technology women are able to perform well in consultancy projects.  They are making-up their career on their own through effective means of technological innovations.
  1. OTHERS – The other types of careers meant for professionally qualified women are Systems analysts, Programmers, Embedded System Designers, VLSI designers, DSP programmers, Network professionals, Quality Assurance Professionals, Customer support professionals in installing hardware and software and Trainers of all levels providing knowledge and create awareness with the help of information and communication technology.

Henceforth, Information Technology can offer significant opportunities for women and exists as an important tool in meeting Women’s needs.  It also provides them access to use resources and prove their skills in the competitive digital society.  However, their ability to use the advantage of these opportunities is contingent upon the factors enumerated below:

Ø  INFRASTRUCTURE to increase the facilities and extending the access to the communication and information technology area

The typical image of a geek with thick glasses and a pocket protector hunched over a computer keyboard has faded in the wake of the incredible boom in computer programming careers. Today's programmers can be successful members of cutting edge teams, independent contractors setting their own hours and executives developing new code and languages that sell for millions of dollars to corporations. There is no longer anything typical about being a programmer, except that males still dominate the field. Over eighty percent of individuals with a computer programmer degree are still men.

It's a shame that more women haven't entered the field, but in the last few years this has begun to change. This is a good sign for the industry and for women. The industry can benefit a great deal from the unique perspectives of women, and women with computer programming degrees can have successful, high-paying careers that will take them places.

Why a Woman Should Get A Computer Programming Degree

Most young women don't initially consider a computer degree when considering an occupation, but this is a mistake. These jobs have several things going for them that make them perfect for many women:

1: Most programming positions are in an office environment. It's a professional job with few physical demands and, for the most part, regular hours.

2: There is flexibility for women with families. Many of today's programmers work for themselves as independent contractors, so a woman can work full-time or part-time depending on her family's needs.

3: The salary for programmers typically begins in the $40,000 range and can reach the six figures.

4: Colleges and universities are actively seeking women with computer programming degrees to add to their staff. This gives women another career option that also offers flexibility.

6: Social skills combined with computer programming skill translate to a quick move up the corporate ladder; female programmers may have an edge over men when it comes to "playing well with others."

What's Responsible for the Upswing?

Why are more women pursuing computer programming degrees after years of being obviously missing? It's impossible to know, but one reason may be that the mystery surrounding this field has simply faded as the demand for talent has grown. The "old boys" network is no longer so entrenched in any professional area and programming is no exception.

Another theory is that the first generation of computer programmers (primarily men) now have children who are entering college. Many of these male programmers have daughters they may be encouraging. These women are more likely to follow in the footsteps of their parents, and a generation ago there weren't a lot of role models in the fledgling industry for young girls.

Whatever the reasons, computer experts are happy to note that after a twenty-year reduction in the number of women in the profession, female enrollment in computer programming courses is on the upswing. They hope that more women will pursue computer programming degrees in the coming years.

Rita has been an associate professor of Computer Information Systems for the City Colleges of Chicago - Harold Washington College - since September, 1973. She served as the Chairperson of the Computer Information Systems Department from 1984-1990.

She was awarded a Civic Service Award by the Association for Women in Community Colleges. She has been a life member of AWC since the mid 1980's when a Chicago Chapter existed. I know we all welcome Rita and look forward to her participation on our board and on ICCP's.
